Tuosist liegt am Fuß der Caha Mountains auf der Beara Halbinsel, ca. 18 km von Kenmare entfernt. Lehid Harbour ist eine malerische Bucht mit altem Baumbestand und üppiger, subtropischer Vegetation. Über den Healy Pass ist man in 1 Stunde in Castletownbear, dem größten Fischereihafen im Südwesten. Von Kenmare aus, das man in 20 Minuten erreicht, kann man den Ring of Kerry erkunden. Zum Flughafen Kerry (Farranfore) fährt man ca. 1 1/2 Std., Killarney ist ca. 60 Minuten, Tralee ca. 90 Minuten entfernt. Die Fahrzeit nach Cork, der größten Stadt im Süden, beträgt ca. 2 Stunden. Wenig entfernt liegt eine Paddi - Tauchstation, außerdem kann man in direkter Umgebung Muscheln sammeln, Garnelen fangen und von markierten Felsen aus angeln. Ein kleiner Reitstall liegt direkt an der Straße nach Kenmare, in Kenmare selbst gibt es einen Fahrradverleih, Bootsexkursionen und zwei 18-Loch Golfplätze. Wandern, Golfen, Reiten, Radfahren, Baden, Tauchen, Spaziergänge an kilometerlangen Sandstränden, ein Besuch der botanischen Gärten und Inseln oder einfach nur am nahe gelegenen Strand das Spiel der Wellen genießen, für jeden Geschmack ist hier einiges geboten. Kenmare - Hauptstraße

Tuosist is located at the foot of the Caha Mountains on the Beara Peninsula, approximately 18 km from Kenmare.Lehid Harbour is a picturesque harbour with old trees and lush, subtropical vegetation. One can reach Castletownbear, the southwest’s largest fishing harbour, in one hour via Healy Pass. From Kenmare, which is 20 minutes away, one can explore the Ring of Kerry. The Kerry airport (Farranfore) is about an 80 minute drive away, Killarney is about 60 minutes away and Tralee is approximately 90 minutes away. The drive to Cork, the largest city in the south, takes approximately two hours. A paddi (diving station) is located nearby. One can also collect seashells, catch shrimps or fish from the marked rocks. There is a small riding stable on the road to Kenmare.Kenmare has a bicycle rental, boat excursions and two 18-hole golf courses. Hike, golf, ride, cycle, swim, dive or take walks along kilometres of sandy beaches, visit the botanic gardens, the islands or simply enjoy the lapping of the waves on the nearby beach – there is something here for everyone.
